Changelings
ORIGIN & HISTORY
Changelings Changelings Fey-touched beings left in place of stolen human children. Shapeshifters distrusted by society. Elves Immortal guardians of Davokar. Carry the scars of Symbaroum's fall. Slow to act, decisive when they do. Davokar The endless ancient forest north of Ambria. Divided into Bright, Wild, and Dark Davokar. Grave of the Symbaroum empire.
They are raised human but are not human. They are created by elves but are not accepted by elves.
As changelings age, they gradually develop elven features — pointed ears, angular faces, an otherworldly quality that sets them apart. This transformation often triggers fear and rejection from the communities that raised them.
CULTURE & SOCIETY
Changelings Changelings Fey-touched beings left in place of stolen human children. Shapeshifters distrusted by society.
Many changelings possess an innate ability to shapeshift, taking on the appearance of others. This makes them excellent spies, infiltrators, and survivors — but also deepens the mistrust directed at them.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
In youth, changelings appear fully human. Over time, elven features emerge: elongated ears, sharper bone structure, eyes that seem to catch light differently. Their true appearance is a blend of human and elf — unsettling to both peoples.
