Abominations
WHAT THEY ARE
When a living being — human, animal, or anything else — accumulates too much corruption, a threshold is crossed. The creature's soul breaks, and its body transforms into something monstrous. These transformed creatures are called Abominations Abominations People who accumulated too much corruption and transformed into unique monsters. Each was once someone with a name. Ambrians Civilized human refugees from Alberetor. Hierarchical, expansionist, devoted to Prios. Blight Beasts Animals mutated beyond recognition by Davokar's corruption. More numerous and aggressive in recent years.
Abominations are what happens when corruption wins.
HOW THEY FORM
Corruption Corruption A physical, measurable force. Every spell cast, every artifact touched, every step deeper into Davokar leaves a mark on the soul. Davokar The endless ancient forest north of Ambria. Divided into Bright, Wild, and Dark Davokar. Grave of the Symbaroum empire.
CHARACTERISTICS
Most abominations are twisted versions of their original form — recognizable enough to be horrifying. They suffer oozing blisters, bodily growths, and mutations. Their personalities collapse into pure aggression: envy, anger, hunger, hubris, hatred.
Some human-sourced abominations retain enough intelligence to form cults and hide in society — these are the most dangerous because they are the hardest to detect.
PRIMAL BLIGHT BEASTS
The worst category. These are not corrupted versions of existing creatures but entities birthed directly from corruption itself — so alien and hateful they represent the opposite of nature. They have existed since long before the fall of Symbar Symbar Legendary capital of the fallen Symbaroum empire. Never found. Every treasure hunter's ultimate prize.
