When a living being — human, animal, or anything else — accumulates too much corruption, a threshold is crossed. The creature's soul breaks, and its body transforms into something monstrous. These transformed creatures are called Abominations

HOW THEY FORM

A physical, measurable force. Every spell cast, every artifact touched, every step deeper into Davokar leaves a mark on the soul.

Davokar

The endless ancient forest north of Ambria. Divided into Bright, Wild, and Dark Davokar. Grave of the Symbaroum empire.

Read more → itself. When permanent corruption exceeds a being's spiritual threshold, the transformation is irreversible. The creature loses all identity and becomes a thing of pure destructive impulse.

CHARACTERISTICS

Most abominations are twisted versions of their original form — recognizable enough to be horrifying. They suffer oozing blisters, bodily growths, and mutations. Their personalities collapse into pure aggression: envy, anger, hunger, hubris, hatred.

Some human-sourced abominations retain enough intelligence to form cults and hide in society — these are the most dangerous because they are the hardest to detect.

PRIMAL BLIGHT BEASTS

The worst category. These are not corrupted versions of existing creatures but entities birthed directly from corruption itself — so alien and hateful they represent the opposite of nature. They have existed since long before the fall of Symbar
